1899-1980
Sir Alfred Hitchcock was born in London in 1899. He studied engineering, and directed his first film in 1925. A master of suspense and intricate plots his films included The Thirty-Nine Steps (1935), The Lady Vanishes (1938) Rebecca (1940), Psycho (1960), The Birds (19630, and Frenzy (1972) His trademark was a cameo role in most of his films.

Psycho
PSYCHO was adapted from the novel by Robert Block which was inspired by the activities of the real-life Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein. Gein kept the body of his long-dead mother in his isolated family home, and killed females eating parts of their bodies!
