Born in Kenosha USA Orson Welles was known as Director, Producer, Writer and Actor. His radio production of J G Wells's War of the Worlds was so realistic it caused panic in the USA. Citizen Kane (1941) which he wrote, produced, directed and acted in.was a revolutionary landmark in cinema technique Other notable works The Third Man (1949) and Macbeth (1948) On february 27 1982 he received the Legion of Honor from the president of France.
