Tower of London
The Ravens are the famous residents of the Tower with
the legend being that the kingdom will fall if they leave the
tower. Begun in 1078 the tower is the home of the Crown Jewels
and a collection of armour.

Houses of Parliament
The Palace of Westminster has been the seat of both Parliaments
wince 1512. Building started in 1042, the Great Fire of London
destroyed part of it and the present building was completed in
1870 Designed by Sir Charles Barry they were badly damaged in the second World
War, the House of Commons was almost totally destroyed in 1941.

CHURCHES
Westminster Cathedral
Byzantime building designed by John Francis Bentley for
the Catholic diocese and finished in 1903. The organ is one of
the finest in Europe and concerts are held here every second Tuesday
from June - September

St. Pauls from Ludgate
St Pauls
After the original Cathedral was ruined in the Great Fire of London
in 1087 Christopher Wren's first design for the Cathedral
met with resistance and a simpler plan was accepted in 1675. The
Inner and Outer Domes is the 2nd biggest in the world
after St Peters in Rome, the Towers were not in Wrens original
plan but he added them in 1707
