CONGAS
Single headed Afro-Cuban drum popular around
the world. The set of three comprise the quinto (high), conga (middle)
and tumbadora (low). The drum is played with both hands and is capable
of many sounds which have to be developed before moving to the rhythmic
repertoire. The main sounds employed are: open tone, muffled tone,
open slap, muffled slap, bass tone, fingers and palm. For further
