DARABUCKA
Single headed Egyptian hand drum with a distinctive pear shape also known as tabla. The instrument is made out of clay or metal and is popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The instrument is held under one arm and played with the fingers. This particular drum I acquired courtesy of my friend Hossam Ramzy. It was painted by my wife Aurora De Leucio.
